Το καλοκαίρι του 2014 με έδρα τη Θεσσαλονίκη και το Αιγάλεω, ιδρύεται η «Ειδική Ομάδα Ειδικών Αποστολών Ελλάδος» - ΕΠΟΜΕΑ, μια ομάδα που παραμένει πιστή στους στόχους και τις ιδεολογίες της. Η EPOMEA GREECE, ως Κεντρική Διεύθυνση, διαχειρίζεται αποτελεσματικά όλες τις ομάδες της ΕΠΟΜΕΑ σε όλη την Ελλάδα. Μέσω του διοικητικού συμβουλίου αναπτύσσονται προπονητικά προγράμματα για όλες τις ομάδες. Η ομάδα είναι ένα από τα ιδρυτικά μέλη του Ευρωπαϊκού Οργανισμού EVOLSAR, με όλα τα μέλη των ομάδων της ΕΠΟΜΕΑ να συμμετέχουν στην οργάνωση.

ΕPΟΜΕΑ family grows with the main purpose of offering humanitarian aid to our fellow man as well as the intervention of rescuers in emergency situations. The above sections are autonomous, with their own Board of Directors. However, in order to achieve a common training program for all teams, the organisation of the training program and the management of the teams is carried out by EPOMEA Greece, with a statute as an autonomous section.
The emblem of EPOMEA Greece was entrenched by Koulaxouzidou Maria, Benakis Miltiadis, Mousidis Grigorios and Roumeliotis Georgios (Decision No: 660/2013) in order to reserve all rights of EPOMEA teams throughout the country.

EPOMEA aims to protect the life, health and property of citizens and nature, the organization of sports and cultural activities.
In particular:
Addressing crises, either man-made (wars) or as a result of natural disasters (earthquakes, fires, floods) inside and outside the borders of Greece.
Timely and effective treatment of accidents or illnesses. Organization and education of citizens, as well as taking measures to prevent all the above unpleasant situations.
The implementation of environmental protection measures (fire protection etc.) that is directly related to the health and quality of life of people.
Upgrading the quality of life of people with special needs and vulnerable groups of citizens.
EPOMEA Greece is a founding member of the European Organization EVOLSAR together with voluntary rescue teams from Portugal, Cyprus, Italy and Malta. At the moment, the family of European teams grew with the participation of Hungary, England, Spain and Serbia.
EDUCATION
In order for a citizen to participate in the teams of EPOMEA, they must successfully complete the primary school of education, which covers basic rescue skills.
At the end of the primary school and with the successful completion of the final examinations, the volunteers choose one of the following specialties:
Firefighting and fire protection
First aid,
Mountain/ Rope Rescue,
Water Rescue,
Protection of Public Parks,
USAR,
K9 Training,
Telecommunications,
Internet and New Technology Applications
Courses are conducted by professionals of first aid and rescue specialties who are licensed to teach.
ACTION
To date, EPOMEA teams have participated either preventively or decisively in emergencies as well as in the organization of political events and sports festivals. EPOMEA members offer their services wherever and whenever necessary. It is worth mentioning the excellent cooperation of EPOMEA with two of the largest theaters in Attica, the Petra Theater of the Municipality of Petroupoli and the Vrachos of the Municipality of Byronas, as well as the new collaborations with the theaters of Gi (Ghi) and Dasous (Dasous) in Thessaloniki. and the Alcazar Theater in Larissa, voluntarily offering first aid to anyone in need.
