Humanitarian Aid
Every week television screens and newspaper headlines are flooded by pictures of conflict and destruction. When such events occur, we have but one purpose: to provide help to those in need as soon as possible, regardless of whether the crisis was caused by human conflicts or natural disasters .
Our primary task is to contribute in saving lives , reduce suffering and protect the integrity and dignity of people affected. The emergency assistance includes tents, blankets, food, medicine, medical equipment, water purification systems, fuel, resources and logistic support.
Humanitarian aid, as a short-term medium (lasting for six months), aims mainly:
- in rescuing human lives in emergency circumstances and thenceforth
- in aiding and providing relief to people affected due to long -lasting crises arising especially in conflicts or wars
- in short term development followed by the activities that take place after the emergency, such as rehabilitation and reconstruction work, especially of infrastructure and equipment
- in confronting consequences of population movements, with actions of repatriation and assistance for resettlement, depending on the situation, to ensure preparation for specific risks as well as the use of a rapid alert system and appropriate intervention .
