EPOMEA Volos' members participated in the search of a missing 82 year old male athlete in Pelion, in the area of Milea, where he had not given signs of life for two days.

Despite the extensive investigations that took place from Wednesday 5/7 until Friday 7/7, it was not possible to find any traces of the unfortunate man. The investigations were attended by police officers of the Pelion P.D. , Volos' Fire Brigade and members of EMAK.

The 82-year-old retired gymnast, Dimitris Kontogiannis has been declared missing from the afternoon on Tuesday 4/7 in the Milies region.

The relatives of the missing person declared a life line Silver Alert and implore anyone who knows anything about him to communicate on the SOS 1065 National Line, 24 hours a day.

Dimitris Kontogiannis, age 82, disappeared on July 4th in Milies, Pelion, is described as thin, with a height of 1.70 m and blue eyes.

On the day he disappeared he was wearing blue jeans, a yellow sweatshirt and sports shoes, while life line Silver Alert emphasized that his life was in jeopardy.
