The volunteers of EP.OM.E.A. Municipality of Athens, Municipality of Egaleo, Thessaloniki and Lokroi will continue today the efforts to find the 90-year-old missing person.

The search began in the early hours of Sunday and will continue today with the sunlight as their ally. The research is supported by a rescue dog with his trainer (Gizmo, Ioannis Contraros) and a drone to approach inaccessible areas.

History of the research: Mr. Ioannis Vroulias, 90 years old, from Arachova, Viotia, has been missing since Friday 8/5. The 90-year-old suffers from dementia. His family immediately notified the local authorities, who were mobilized, with little success in their efforts. At the invitation of the municipality of Arachova on Saturday 9/5, EP.OM.E.A. Municipality of Athens and EP.OM.E.A. Egaleo deployed to the area on Sunday to begin search and rescue operations with the help of the rescue dog Gizmo and his trainer Ioannis Kontraros. Simultaneously, a new  group of volunteers deployed  to Arachova on Monday 11/5 and started research in the wider area. The research was strengthened by volunteers of EP.OM.E.A. Thessaloniki with a drone and EP.OM.E.A. Lokroi. Investigations continue today with the first light of day, in the hope that today's efforts will be successful
