The off-road terrain had a few hard turns, causing some of the athletes to be injured, although this did not alter the competitive mood of the athletes.
At the end of the race, medals were nominated for the winners and EPOMEA was honoured by a citation given for the volunteers' contibution for the success of the event.
The extreme temperatures and the hardships of winter did not affect the morale of EPOMEA Thessalonikis' volunteers, who due to yesterday's snowfall, performed patrols in the mountainous mass of Thessaloniki to help our fellow citizens.

Over eighty Volunteer Organizations, registered at the Civil Protection Secretariat of Attica, met at an event - celebration for volunteerism creating a unique portrait.
The event was an initiative taken by the Region of Attica, where the Volunteer Organizations of Attica were awarded for the second consecutive year, due to their contribution to the community during 2017.
The award for EPOMEA Egaleo, was given by Deputy Regional Governor of West Athens, Mr. Tzokas Spyridonas.
The practical training for young and old volunteers began in two of the largest hospitals in Athens and Piraeus, KAT and Tzaneio.
EPOMEA Egaleo attends classes in the emergency room of the two hospitals, while volunteering their services under the supervision and guidance of qualified doctors.
