The volunteers were informed about the use of an Automatic External Defiblilator (AED), the Heimlich Maneuver, placing of a victim in recovering position. The bike association Π.Α.Σ. ΕΡΜΗΣ ΜΑΡΚΟΠΟΥΛΟΥ (PAS ERMIS MARKOPOULOS) has organised for the 12th year the interlacing mountain bike race MTB XCO «KELESIDEIA», with groups variying from Men's, Women's, Children and Adult -Kids short tracks.
The off-road terrain had a few hard turns, causing some of the athletes to be injured, although this did not alter the competitive mood of the athletes.
At the end of the race, medals were nominated for the winners and EPOMEA was honoured by a citation given for the volunteers' contibution for the success of the event.

The extreme temperatures and the hardships of winter did not affect the morale of EPOMEA Thessalonikis' volunteers, who due to yesterday's snowfall, performed patrols in the mountainous mass of Thessaloniki to help our fellow citizens.

Α theoretical lesson from the Instructor of the Mobile Disaster Response Team of the Hellenic Air Force and President of EPOMEA Egaleo Mr Roumeliotis Georgios, was held for the 6th recruit group of EPOMEA volunteers on the subject of rescue materials and equipment we use in a victim extrication operation after seismic activity.
The volunteer's acquaintance with rescue tools will continue with practical training over the next scheduled days of teaching.

Over eighty Volunteer Organizations, registered at the Civil Protection Secretariat of Attica, met at an event - celebration for volunteerism creating a unique portrait.
The event was an initiative taken by the Region of Attica, where the Volunteer Organizations of Attica were awarded for the second consecutive year, due to their contribution to the community during 2017.
The award for EPOMEA Egaleo, was given by Deputy Regional Governor of West Athens, Mr. Tzokas Spyridonas.

The practical training for young and old volunteers began in two of the largest hospitals in Athens and Piraeus, KAT and Tzaneio.
EPOMEA Egaleo attends classes in the emergency room of the two hospitals, while volunteering their services under the supervision and guidance of qualified doctors.
