On Wednesday, June 10, 2020, EPOMEA Greece successfully participated in the Major Accident Exercise (A.M.A.) that took place at the Salamis Naval Base (SN) under the direction of the SN Coordination Center, in the presence of the Commander of the Naval Administrative Care Command, Rear Admiral N. Bableni  and the Commander of SN, Chief Captain P. Dimitroglou SN.

On Thursday, June 4, the representatives of EPOMEA Ikaria, met after a call with the special advisor on matters of Civil Protection and Sports Mr. Nikos Vassilios, in the District of Ikaria.

We would like to thank the CDC company for its kind sponsorship technical rescue materials. This equipment will help volunteers to meet difficult search and rescue missions, as well as domestic and international exercises.

The weather's instability in our country continues for the 9th consecutive day. According to the latest predictions, on June 2nd, rain and storms are expected from noon both in mainland and island areas as described by the meteorology department of EPOMEA Peanias.

With a focus on social contribution and sensitivity to volunteering, EVAL - E.G. Vallianatos SA supported the work of EPOMEA.

After coming in contact with the clergy of the local temple in Egaleo, a group of 15 rescuers took care of the safety of the pilgrims and dealt with any health incident that required first aid, as it was a long time since the last service and the expected number of pilgrims was believed to be high.
