On March 15th, 2017 in Vathi Samos the Operational Field Exercise for earthquake preparedness "Eupalinos 2017" was held in the context of strengthening the operational capacity of local structures. The scenario envisaged incidents in various parts of the east side of the island. EPOMEA members of Ikaria actively participated in the exercise, by collaborating perfectly with the Government and regional structures of Civil Protection.

An educational seminar was held on the subject of «Basic First Aid». Basic lecturer of the seminar was General Secretary of EPOMEA Greece and orthopedic surgeon Mr Mousidis Grigorios, and supporting members Mrs Neldekou Vasiliki and Arambatzis Thomas.

On the 1/3/2017 a revision class was organised for EPOMEA Kilkis with instructor Mr. Antonis Dermetzis, professional rescuer of EKAΒ (National Emergency Aid Centre).

Αfter the elections held by active members of EPOMEA Greece first place in the voting elections and the seat of President of EPOMEA was given to Mr Benakis Miltiades who immediately took office and called the new members of the Management Board to accept their positions and responsibilities.

Τhe International Mountain Bike race MACEDONIAN TROPHY 2017 ended with great success. The excellent collaboration of volunteers and organizers resulted in the smooth and successful completion of the event.
